Sustainable Communities

GreenMotion's Sustainable Communities Initiative:
GreenMotion’s aim is to provide education of biofuels and sustainable development to millions of professionals and citizens through a new, novel and unprecedented community-by-community outreach. The GreenMotion Trek will involve a 300,000 mile drive around the world through 132 countries, all captured using all media, and inviting the world to be our co-pilot and to ride with us to change the world!
In the 1960s, some of the most widely watched television shows involved space launches and moon landings. In the 1990s, some of the first webcasts and web downloads to reach tens of millions of viewers a day were the Mars missions. GreenMotion’s aim is to create one of the highest levels of viewers for any web-related event of this decade. We hope to have over one billion people see and interact with our journey, and take what they learn to transform their own community and society to adopt and adapt the new technologies that will go from mere idea to commonplace practice over a three year period.
The Internet, including the mobile Internet, offers the potential to interact with over three billion people that could become, with a catalytic, bonding event, a single community. The GreenMotion Trek is such an event that will create the 21st century global village. This village will help others understand what needs to be done and how we can make the necessary changes that will ensure a future that works for the world.
Within our grand vision, the GreenMotion team has thousands of practical tasks and projects that will educate and inspire others into action via on-site interviews, community based seminars, school visits, university lecturers, demonstrations by streaming video, contacts with agricultural cooperatives and major industries. We will create an armada of active and passionate advocates, via the Chambers of Commerce, civic groups, such as Rotary International, among many other stakeholders. During the two year Trek we will identify and publicize at least 1,000 "best practices" from the communities we visit that will not just arrest, but actually reverse, the ravages of climate change, locally, regionally and globally.
Our core content offering will be 24/7 interactive and participative web and mobile coverage of all aspects of the Trek in dual-fuel biodiesel and electric powered vehicles with advanced technology, including biodiesel processor, global communications systems, streaming video, and educational hard- and software. We intend to rally crowds to confidently embrace the green changes everywhere we go, and to speak to local media to pave the way. Our trip will provide a "high touch" compliment to build on the "high tech" momentum of the Oscar-winning success of former American Vice President Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth film and lecture series. Follow the Green Brick road!
