Dr. Woodrow (Woody) Clark formed Clark Strategic Partners (Beverly Hills, CA) in 2004. He is a qualitative economist whose book with co-author, Prof Ted Bradshaw, Agile Energy Systems: global lessons from the California Energy Crisis (Elsevier Press 2004) has been recognized world-wide as a technological document on energy policy and programs. His current book, Qualitative Economics: toward a science of economics is due out in 2007. Clark earned three separate Masters of Arts degrees and his Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley. He teaches entrepreneurship and lectures globally on climate change.
Clark is a member of the National Academy of Sciences Panel, “Hybrid Mass Transit Systems”. Clark was Senior Policy Advisor for Energy Reliability to Governor Davis (2000-2003) with a focus on renewable generation, advanced technologies and finance. Jeremy Rifkin and Clark formed the “Green Hydrogen Science and Technology Team” in the USA which is expanding to the EU and Asia. He is Energy Director, Los Angeles Community College District and Senior Foreign Energy Advisor, Inner Mongolia, People Republic of China.
Clark was elected to the University of California, Berkeley Alumni Board of Directors (2006-09). Clark serves on the board for two other non-profits and on as an advisor for two other for-profit energy and environment high tech companies. He is also Associate Editor on five professional journals. Clark was co-editor and author for two chapters on the UN Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change and the Director of Environmentally Sound Six Country study for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
